Brian Pannell graduated from Pittsburg State University in southeastern Kansas in 1979. Dr. Pannell completed his dental training at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1984. He then entered the Oral and Maxillofacial Residency in 1985 at Denver General Hospital and graduated in 1988. In 1989 Dr. Pannell completed a fellowship in tempomandibular joint (TMJ) pain and dysfunction and orthognathic surgery. Dr. Pannell has served as a Diplomat to the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery since 1990. Dr. Pannell is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Pannell is active in numerous organizations, including the American Dental Association (ADA), Kansas Dental Association (KDA), American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) and the Midwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Pannell joined the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates of Kansas City in 1991. Dr. Pannell enjoys spending his free time with his family and supporting the Royals and Chiefs. He is a loyal Pittsburg State fan and actively involved in numerous community activities. Dr. Pannell is married with three children.
